Mr. Kenneth Radnitzer R. I. P.

Last Friday's issue of the Chicago Tribune, January 5, 2018, carried the death notice for a life-time member of the Greatest Generation -  Mr. Kenneth Radnitzer  who participated in the  national Veterans History Project through the Niles-Maine District Library.

Mr. Radnitzer served in the Marines during World War II, winning a Silver Star. He fought in the Solomon Islands and spent 82 days on Okinawa.  His 2nd Battalion, 5th Regiment also served in China. He also participated in the Korean Army, serving in the US Army, and winning a Bronze Medal.
